OOTD #3

Hi Everyone,

Today's post is a bit later, sorry about that I didn't get round to taking a picture until late which is why the quality of the picture is pretty bad because it was dark outside so the lighting wasn't great!

Today was another chilled day, I stayed in and dedicated the day to get work done not that I even ended up getting much done but I opted for a cosy and pretty autumnal outfit.

Top - Checked Shirt from Asos and originally from New Look
Bottom - River Island black Mollie Jeans
Shoes - H&M Black ankle boots

OOTD #1

Hi Everyone,

Every day this week I am going to post my ootd so I hope this gives you some inspiration for outfits!

Today was an extremely lazy day! I didn't get ready until 4 o'clock and that was because I was going to the orthodontist. I was cold all day so I wanted to wear something that was really warm and cosy.

So I wore my Jack Wills hoodie, my black Mollie jeans from River Island and my New Look plimsolls.

Obviously these ootd posts will be short but I thought it was something different!

My Favourite ... Makeup Brush

Hi Everyone,

The second week has come around and its time for the next 'my favourite...'

My favourite makeup brush is the Real Techniques Buffing brush. I love the way it blends my foundation onto my face. It leaves my makeup looking really natural and nice and not cakey. The only problem is that you can only buy this brush in the core collection pack; theres no way to buy it on its own which is annoying because at some point my one will start to get old and usually the hairs fall out because of having to washing it the glue comes loose.

So I think I will have to try a different buffing brush from another brand when mine brakes because I don't want to have to buy the whole core collection pack again!

Hope you enjoyed this post! This week I am putting up an OOTD every day as I have the week off so I can hopefully give you some inspiration for outfits!

Halloween Makeup Tutorial - Backwards Skeleton

Hi Everyone,

So today I was feeling extremely creative and was really in the mood to try out some Halloween makeup! I am actually very happy with how this look turned out and I kind of made it up as I went along which is why the name is odd because I don't really know what this is! Anyway if you want to see how I made the look then carry on reading!

I am going to be referring to the two Pictures to show you what I used along the way.

For the 'Base Makeup'

A - Benefit Professional Primer
B - Maybelline Anti Age Eraser under eye concealer
C - Along came Betty All Concealed Concealer Kit
D - Real Techniques Stippling Brush
E - No.7 Essentially Natural Foundation 'Calico
F - Avon Smooth Minerals powder foundation
G - Flormar Stippling brush
H - Maybelline Brow drama brow mascara 'dark'
I - Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer
J - Benefit Powder brush (used for contouring)
K - Real Techniques Contour Brush

So the first step for this look is to perfect your face base. Your everyday makeup will be fine; here's how I did mine.

1. I used 'A' all over my face to make sure my makeup stayed put all day.
2. Then I used 'B' under my eyes to cover up any dark circles!
3. 'C' was used for my blemishes all over my face!
4. I then used 'D' to blend in 'E'
5. To set all of this I used 'F' with 'G'
6. Then I brushed through my eyebrows with 'H'
7. Next I did a bit of bronzer, not too much but just enough to look slightly bronzed using 'I' and 'J'
8. Lastly I blended the bronzer with 'K'

For the 'Halloween Look'

1 - W7 'In the Buff' Palette shade 'Thunder'
2 - Barbara Daly base eyeshadow brush
3 - 17 Palette (the colours don't have names) White eyeshadow
4 - 17 Palette (the colours don't have names) Silver Eyeshadow
5 - 17 Palette (the colours don't have names) Brown eyeshadow
6 - 17 Palette (the colours don't have names) Black eyeshadow
7 - Real Techniques 'Fine Liner Brush'
8 - Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush
9 - Black pencil eyeliner
10 - White pencil eyeliner or lip liner
11 - Black liquid eyeliner
12 - Eco Tools full eyeshadow brush
13 - Real Techniques Detailer Brush
14 - Kiko Red Lipstick '908'
15 - Ted Baker Eyelash Curlers
16 - Natural Collection clear mascara (I always put clear mascara on before black mascara so you don't need this.)
17 - 17 Wild Curls Mascara

Ok so here's a step by step of what to do after you have finished your base makeup; when I say numbers I am referring to the products above.

For YOUR right hand side of your face:

1. Using '6' eyeshadow with '7' brush start from the inner corners of YOUR right eye and draw a circle up and around your eye and finish by bringing the circle to an end in the right hand corner of your eye.
2. Then using '6' eyeshadow and '2' brush shade in the base of your eyelid so your whole eye is filled in and go under the eye, beneath the water line with this colour and this brush. (The underneath doesn't have to be neat)
3. Then using '11' draw a normal everyday cat eye flick, it can be a big dramatic cat flick if you want it to but make sure the cat flick finishes within the black circle of eyeshadow. Also only do a flick, don't go along the top of your eyelid.
4. Next I used '9' to fill in both of my eyebrows even though this is black, you want your eyebrows to look really dark and dramatic. I know I used my brow drama from Maybelline in the base section but that was really subtle so didn't matter. You can choose what you want to do with your brows.
5. Then I used '15' to curl my eyelashes.
6. I applied '16'
7. Then I applied '17' to add more definition to my eyes.

Now for the middle of your face:

1. Using '9' draw a straight thin line down the centre of your face up to the middle of your eyes.
2. Then starting from somewhere along the line you have just drawn, draw a jagged line towards your right eye and make it meet with the inner corner of your eye.
3. Then do the same as above for your left eye.
4. For your nose, you can kind of make it up, I used '9' again as its the easiest to draw with but you can always use liquid eyeliner if you want. Just make your nose look defined by following your nose bone and then shade in the tip of your nose.
5. Continue drawing a line from the tip of your nose, to your mouth, through your mouth and to the bottom of your face again I used '9'.

For YOUR left hand side of your face:

1. Using '6' eyeshadow with '7' brush start from the inner corners of YOUR left eye and draw a circle down and underneath your eye and finish by bringing the circle to an end in the left hand corner of your eye.
2. Then using '1' and '5' eyeshadow and '2' brush shade in the base of your eyelid so your whole eye is filled in and go under the eye in '6' beneath the water line with this colour and this brush. (The underneath doesn't have to be neat)
3. Then using '11' draw a cat eye flick, it can be a big dramatic cat flick if you want it to but make sure the cat flick finishes within the black circle of eyeshadow. I made this sides flick bigger and thicker. Also only do a flick, don't go along the top of your eyelid.
4. I then used '9' to draw two more jagged lines from anywhere from your eye to your eyebrow. You can do as many lines as your like, but I only did this on my left hand side to make it look more dramatic.
5. Then I used '15' to curl my eyelashes.
6. I applied '16'
7. Then I applied '17' to add more definition to my eyes.

For YOUR right hand side of your mouth:
1. I used '13' brush to apply '14' lipstick. You can use lip liner too if you like but I didn't.

For YOUR left hand side of your mouth:
1. So firstly I used '10' to fill in my top and bottom lips.
2. Then I outlined my lips with either '9' or '11'
3. With '9' I drew the outline of the teeth and the extended line to the left of my mouth.
4. Next, with '10' I coloured in all the teeth.
5. Lastly I closed my mouth and crew a line through the middle of my lips from the left to centre to help resemble the skeleton mouth and define it more.

Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

Today I am just going to chat; I'm really in the mood to just tell you what I've been thinking.

I'm sitting here writing blogposts whilst watching Gossip Girl; my aim is to write four today and I'm on my third!

I have had such a busy week due to a project I had to get finished before half term and have it all done and ready meaning I am now reading for a week off to relax. However I have no plans for half term so I think I need to start making some so I don't end up being at home all day every day! I am in one of those moods where I want to go out and see people and have a really fun night but that's not going to happen as I'm off to Cornwall at the weekend which I am looking forward to as I think it will take my mind off of the crazy hectic week I've had.

Next Thursday I am meeting with Friends, and Friday I am going to one of my Family Friends, Sons 1st birthday party then next Saturday and Sunday I am busy so I really looking forward to all of that its just next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that I need to make plans for.

I also have a list of things I need to get done like swapping summer clothes for winter, getting rid of things, buying birthday presents; those kinds of things so I will use a day for that but I just really want to have a fun week where I can relax and not worry about work I have to get done!

This was different for me to post but I enjoyed being able to tell you what I was thinking and just let some stuff out!

Let me know how your week has been so far!

Five things to do when bored

Hi Everyone,

So I thought as half term is coming up I would give you a list of things to do when your bored.

1. Write blogposts - Its so helpful to get ahead on your blogposts so each time you want to post one you can press publish and not have to write it then and there. I love doing this; especially as I write a blogpost every day so it really helps for when I need one quickly and it takes up quite a lot of time!

2. Watch your favourite series/movie - It always nice to get into bed and just watch netflix all day ( I personally can't because I have to stop and do something different after about four episodes because I loose concentration)

3. Wash your makeup brushes - A tedious job but one that will make you so much happier once you've done it!

4. Clean your room - Yes this is boring but takes about 10 minutes and once its done you actually know where everything is!

5. Read - Whether this is a book or magazine once you get into it you can sit there for hours and get into your book or all of your magazines which will again take up a lot of time.

There are fives of the things I first think of doing when I'm bored; its usually watching netflix and writing blogposts! I hope you enjoyed.

Book Review

Hi Everyone,

I have decided once a month I am going to give you a book recommendation that I have read and enjoyed.

Today's choice is 'The Nanny Diaries' I know this book won't be for everyone, more for the people who enjoy children. It is about a young Nanny who is new to the job and is thrown into the deep end looking after a toddler for a busy body Mother and non existent Father. She has to deal with seeing things a Nanny shouldn't see as well as keeping secrets between the Mother and Father whilst watching them drift further and further apart and still having to keep it all together for their poor toddler.

I really enjoyed this book as I got to understand what it was really like to be a Nanny and it proves its never easy; hopefully being a Nanny isn't always as bad as this book proves it to be but I enjoyed it so much! I read it whilst on holiday and could not put it down!

There is a second book 'The Nanny Diaries 2' which I want to read soon and there is a movie which i watched and enjoyed too.

Like I said this book won't be for everyone but when I get asked what my favourite book is; its always this one! I hope you enjoyed this different post and there will be another one in a month!

Stylist Magazine Event

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well, I have broken up for half term today as tomorrow I have an inset day so I am catching up on blogposts as I am going away this weekend and will not be able to write blogposts.

Last Sunday I went to the Stylist Magazine Event in London, my Mum and me got the train up and spent the day there it was so good! So I am going to post a few pictures so you can see what it was like.

It was the first year Stylist did this and I think it was a huge success, there were four days that you could go - Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Each day there were different people talking and different stalls to look at. On Sunday Caroline Hirons was doing a talk on skin, I didn't go to it because my Mum and me got carried away with Nars makeovers!

Yes you heard right Nars were giving free five minute makeovers, as were Benefit and Clarins were giving free facials which I should have done before getting the makeover! GHD were offering free hair styling as well Aveda and Rush hair were braiding hair which i was contemplating getting done but didn't in the end. A new nail varnish collection has just come out, Ondine and to promote it they were giving free manicures which I had to wait an hour and a half to get done!

Brands that were at the event -
Oliver Bonas
GHD
Rush Hair
Aveda Hair
Benefit
Nars
Swarovski
Clarins
Ondine

There were other places too but I can't remember their names as they weren't as big on the scale of shops. The hall was filled with pop up shops so you could buy products such as beauty, hair, fashion and home ware.

It was a really good day and I recommend you try and go next year if you can!

I love Fall Tag

Hi Everyone,

I was slightly stuck for a blogpost idea today so as Autumn has just begun I thought I would do the "I love fall" tag to help get some of you in the mood for Autumn. I haven't really been one of those people who "get in the mood" for October but this year I really am feeling very Autumnal as I have a lot coming up which I am excited for!

I love fall Tag

Question 1:

What is your favorite fall lip product?

I have two favourites but they are pretty much the same, one is drugstore and one is high end. They are dark plum colours, so basically the classic Autumnal lip colour but I love this season and Winter because it is the perfect excuse to be able to get away with dark lips!

The drugstore lipstick may not be available anymore as one of my friends bought it for me about three years ago and it was a special line for Halloween. But the colour on it is really nice and it lasts around 4 hours however it does bleed slightly.

The high end lipstick is by Mac and it is the only Mac lipstick I have, it is Matte meaning it is very drying which i don't like but the colour is so dark and really stands out on the lips, the way I describe this is like a dark cranberry colour. See the two pictures of the lipsticks down below and I will add the names of the lipsticks in the caption.

Question 2:

What is your favorite fall nail polish?

So you will notice throughout this blogpost, one of my favourite colours is plum/burgundy which is why I look forward to this time of year as it is when these colours come into trend. So you guessed it; plum nail varnishes are my favourite autumnal nail varnishes. To be precise my favourite would probably be Barry M Gelly hi shine nail paint in "Pomegranate" it has such a pretty finish.

Question 3:

What is your favorite Starbucks fall drink?

100% the Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate, I know it doesn't sound great and thats what I thought last year until I tried it and OMG! It is so good and so is the gingerbread hot chocolate which also doesn't sound great but it is just full of spices and is completely the taste of Autumn. I haven't actually had either of these yet this year as I haven't had time to go and get one and when I have had the time and have fancied one I haven't had the money! So I will make sure I get one soon as as the Pumpkin spice hot chocolates are stopped after halloween, but I think they should be kept in Starbucks until Christmas. I would recommend you try these even if you don't like the sound of them because I didn't like the sound of them at first either!

Question 4:

What is your favourite fall candle?
I have an obsession with candles and talking about them are going to make me want to go and buy some more! If I have to choose then my two favourites are Yankee candle "Warm Spice" and Glade "Warm Spice" I actually had no idea they both had the same name but they both smell of Cinnamon and a mixture of spices. It will make the room feel really warm and cosy and you will instantly feel autumnal! The glade option is probably the cheaper one but there clearly isn't any difference as I love them both and will probably go with the Glade option this year to save money.

Question 5:

What is your favorite fall scarf or accessory?

One of my favourite accessory's is my Links of London bracelet which I got for my birthday two or three years ago from my Mum, it has a snowflake charm on it as my birthday is in December and I think it goes really nicely with all my outfits and I can wear it everyday so I love it, it has fast become a staple piece that I put on everyday!

Question 6:

Which is your favorite; haunted house, haunted hay ride or haunted corn maze?

I don't really understand this question, are these rides? If they aren't rides and are just spooky things around halloween then I would say haunted house as that always makes a halloween movie/night spooky!

Question 7:

What is your favorite Halloween movie?

Ok so one of my favourite movies is Coraline but I don't know if that counts as a halloween movie but it's seen as scary to some people so that would be mine but if you aren't counting that and you want a "typical" halloween movie then Witches the movie is scary.

Question 8:

What is your favorite candy to eat on Halloween?

Any type of chocolate, I'm not a fan of sweets more a chocolate lover! Twix, Kinder Bueno, Chocolate Oreo and Marvellous Creations (the green one) are some of my favourites.

Question 9:

What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

Well this year it is my Grandad's 80th birthday, his birthday is actually on halloween and this year as it is his 80th birthday he is having a party on halloween night so I will not be free to go to a party. But its fine as i will have all my family and there will be about five kids and I can take a friend too so I will have people to talk to and I would want nothing more than to spend this years halloween with my Granddads as I am extremely close to him.

Question 10:

What is your favorite thing about fall?

I think just the excuse to pull out the knitted jumpers, dark lipsticks, blankets, all different flavours of hot chocolate and the candles! Just thinking about it makes me all warm inside!

This was an extremely long blogpost but I hoped you enjoyed it!

My Favourite... Hand Cream

Hi Everyone,

So I have decided each week I am going to try and do this blogpost 'My Favourite...' whether that is a lipstick, hand cream, hair oil anything! Just so you have a few recommendations if your ever stuck on what to get! This is also like a review too so I hope you enjoy this series!

My favourite hand cream has to be the Soap and Glory hand food; I love it! My hands don't really get dry in the summer months but as soon as it gets cold my hands get so dry and quite itchy due to their dryness.

The reason this one is my favourite is because unlike most hand creams your hands stay moisturised even after you have washed them throughout the day so you only have to apply it every two days although I apply mine each night before I go to bed so my hands have a solid nine hours to absorb all the moisture before I wash them. It smells super good too and the best thing is that it doesn't leave your hands sticky as it dries really quickly!

I have the mini sized one which I love because you can just throw it in your bag if you want to and if you feel like changing hand creams this one won't take forever to get rid of because its a mini!

The next hand cream I want to try is the Zoella Wonder hand moisturiser as I have heard good things! Let me know if you've tried this.

I hope you enjoyed the first post of my new series, there will be a new one of these up next Monday!

Outfit of the Day

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would give you a shorter post, an outfit of the day - OOTD

I am wearing a navy blue and white cropped jumper from Topshop, with my Topshop Joni jeans and my grey converse. This is one of my favourite outfits as I think its really comfy and works well together. I know this was a shorter post but I still hoped you enjoyed it!

Halloween Outfit Idea - Emo Minnie Mouse

Hi Everyone,

Today I have another outfit inspiration for anyone who is still stuck with ideas for what to dress up as this halloween! All of the items for this look are from New Look but I will link them too.

Emo Minnie Mouse -

Mela Black Lace Belted Dress

£28.00

Black Metallic Lace Bow Alice Band £3.99

Wide Fit Dark Red Cross Strap Block Heels

£27.99

Pure Colour Plum Lipstick

I know this outfit idea was quite different but thats why I decided to do it. Obviously if you don't feel comfortable wearing high heels then just go with some black ankle boots or some black slip on shoes (which you can find on New Look) but I thought the colour of the high heels went really well with the dress. Also you could try and go for a bold red lipstick if you don't want to wear plum as I think that would look really nice too!

Hope you enjoyed this!

My Lipstick Collection

Hi Everyone,

Today I am giving you a tour of my lipstick collection, what I use and where I store them! There are a few more lipsticks which I keep in various bags to use when I'm out but I feel like these will be enough!

So from the top left -

I have two lip liners from 'the colour institute' in a bright pink and red.

Ted Baker lip crayon in a dark crimson colour, it doesn't have a name sorry!

I know it is from Amazon but the name has rubbed off and it doesn't have a colour name. They are available in many different colours on Amazon.

Some of my favourites; my Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers.  The top one is a peachy nude ' 101 - Celestial' and the bottom one is a bright pink (a brave summer colour) '303 apocalyptic'

Then we go up a level -

Benefit Lolli balm; it doesn't have a colour name but it is extremely light and natural.

Collection lip butter '4 perfect plum'

Going down and left to right-

Mua 'shade 3'

Next one along is another bright pink lipstick but I have no idea what shade it is in or where its from sorry!

Mac 'Absolute Power'

Collection - '4 Seduction, Gothic Glam range'

Going down right to left -

Topshop - 'Brighton Rock'

Another lipstick which has no name and no shade in red

Kiko '908' Classic Red lipstick

Primark P.S love in Red

Down again left to right-

Another lipstick with no name and no shade but I love this! One of my favourite nudes!

Maybelline 'On and on pink'

Rimmel Kate Moss '101'

Kiko '904'

Last but not least my Vaseline in 'Paint the town' Red lip tint. I think this was limited edition but you may still be able to find this in boots.

All of the pictures I took I used the flash so don't be scared by how bright the colours are just go and have a look in the shop or online!

Hope you enjoyed this!
