12 Christmas Questions Tag

Hi Everyone,

I am currently babysitting but I am babysitting someone in hotel, meaning I have to sit here in the dark in silence ( I have my headphones into my laptop and am catching up on You tube whilst blogging. I even feel like the typing is too loud!)

I know I have just done the Christmas tag part 1 and 2 but I also wanted to do the Holiday tag as tags are my favourite to write so her we go!

1. Favourite holiday colours?
Red is definitely my favourite and probably white along with that as they go together nicely and around Christmas is when I wear red a lot. Red nails, red lipstick, red Christmas jumper! I love it!

2. Biggest Holiday pet peeve?
Probably the hype that is created on New Years Eve, I enjoy New Years Eve and I do celebrate it but everyone gets so excited and the ten second count down is huge! I think it is worth getting hyped up about if you are going out but if its a night in people can get very excited!

3. Do you plan ahead or procrastinate?
Well generally I procrastinate but when it comes to Christmas shopping I usually plan ahead. I have been very good with Christmas shopping this year and I had done most of them by the end of the first week in December which I was so proud of because I usually don't have any money to get any but this year I started saving for presents early so I had enough money for them all.

4. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa?
I think I was about 11, but since that Christmas I have always spent Christmas Eve and day with someone who does still believe in Santa so I still always have to get excited for him coming which I think is nice.

5. Favourite classic and new holiday?
I don't know if there is a 'new' holiday that I celebrate but my favourite classic holiday is Christmas, however I do also love the Summer holidays if that counts as a classic holiday? I don't think it does.

6. Favourite Christmas tradition?
I don't think we have many traditions, the only one we do have when we have Christmas at home is that we all eat bacon sandwiches and have a glass of champagne/or a cup of tea whilst opening presents at about 11'o'clock in the morning which I love as its super family orientated and fun.

7. Real or fake tree?
Fake tree, we used to get real ones but fake are so much easier as you don't need to go out and buy them or squeeze them into your car or clear up after them. I know a lot of people like real trees because of the smell but that doesn't bother me.

8. When do you put the tree up and take it down?
Well as my birthday is at the beginning of December we don't start to celebrate Christmas until about a week after my Birthday. So this year we put the tree up on the 6th of December and I think we take it down after New Year but it just depends when we are home and free as the week after Christmas we do usually go away.

9. Favourite holiday cookie/treat?
Chocolate! I love the boxes of chocolate biscuits and Celebrations. I think these are probably my favourite as they are something that really relate to Christmas and are just so good!

10. Whats at the top of your tree?
We have a pink angel at the top of our tree, I am not sure where it is from but I would prefer a big silver star as I think it would look nicer, however my Mum loves our Angel so we have that every year which matches with our pink theme.

11. Do you decorate outside?
The only way we decorate outside is with a Wreath on our door, and we do put up decorations in the window but nothing else outside.

12. What did you always wish for but never get?
I always wished for a Kitten as I love kittens and would love to have one so much but I never got one!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!

My Favourite ... Under Eye Concealer

Hi Everyone,

I haven't reviewed an under eye concealer so I though I would review the one I am currently using which is the Maybelline Age Rewind under eye concealer.

I have heard a lot about this product and I also heard that this concealer does actually cover under eyes so I thought I would try it out!

I think what grabbed my attention the most was the sponge on the end as I knew this would be really good for using on my under eye as that is the most delicate part of the face.

I do think this concealer covers my eye bags really well and it lasts a long time, howvever the product itself can get quite dirty as a lot of the concealer stays in the sponge but I do still like it and I think I will be repurchasing it unless I want to try a new one; f you have any recommendations please leave them down below for me!

Favourite Autumnal Candles

Hi Everyone,

Incase you hadn't guessed from the title I am going to show you my favourite autumnal candles.

Glade 'Warm Spice'

Yankee Candle 'Warm Spice'

I know I have mentioned these candles before and I know they have the same name, and I know there are only two on this blogpost but these are honestly my favourite as they both smell of cinnamon and I love them!

Lazy Day routine: Autumn

Hi Everyone,

So usually my lazy days are Sundays and as its getting much colder now I am likely to stay in away from the cold and rain; its just always been known as our lazy days so that's what I do!

I wake up anytime from 10-12 usually and I firstly have breakfast and watch you tube for about an hour as Sunday is the day everyone uploads so I like to try and keep up with them!

Then I cleanse my face, clean my teeth and get changed for the day. Sunday I wash my hair so I don't really ever wear makeup or put get dressed up (basically I don't wear jeans) as I will end up taking it all off so I just put on leggings and a hoodie.

After I have face timed my Dad for about 30 minutes I will usually sit and write blogposts or take blogpost pictures as I like to be caught up on blogposts whilst watching Gossip girl.

After doing that for probably around two hours I will have lunch with my Mum, we usually have a big meal at about three o clock but not always a Sunday Roast.

Then we will watch some TV (we are loving Nashville at the moment).

If I have any work to do I will get that done and then I will probably wash my hair at about seven o clock.

After washing my hair I will go downstairs make myself something to eat and watch some TV with my Mum again as this is when we can both relax. Tonight we watched 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here!'

At about 9pm I will have a cup of tea with something sweet, a chocolate biscuit usually and then wrap some Christmas presents as I have been extremely organised with Christmas presents this year and have bought them all early!

Then I will go upstairs, get into bed and watch some more You tube and go to sleep at about 11:30pm.

I hope you enjoyed this!

Why I started blogging...

Hi Everyone,

So I thought I would write a post on why I started blogging.

I decided to start a blog one day because I wanted somewhere I could write whatever I wanted whether that was about makeup, hair, my thoughts or anything else and I wouldn't have to worry about what people would think because if they liked it they would read it and if they didn't like it then they wouldn't read it! I was never very good at constantly uploading blogposts every day, every week or every month so most of the time I just didn't upload because I wasn't in the mood for writing which is why I decided to start posting everyday.

I thought posting everyday would help motivate me to make my blog better and to give it more content so that's what I did from the 30th September (7 weeks ago) I am pretty proud I have been posting for 7 weeks now and I am also happy that my blog now has way more content for people to read about lots of different subjects and I can post whatever. I am really enjoying being able to post Autumnal themed blogposts and I will be doing the same in December and Summer.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post!

Favourite place in England

Hi Everyone,

There are so many amazing places in England that are really pretty and relaxing; however my favourite place in England other than where I live which is a super lovely place by the way is London. The shops are amazing and it has such a good vibe because its so busy! Most people would think I would like somewhere like Cornwall or Devon etc but I love London as you just know your going to have a good day as there is always something different to do or plenty of places to shop!

This was a much shorter post but its something different.

My Favourite... Lip Balm

Hi Everyone,

My favourite lip balm would have to be Vaseline, all of the Vaseline ones are good but the one I currently have is 'Paint the town red' lip tint. I love it because it does give your lips a slight redder tint but it is subtle so its perfect to wear to school and just adds a little more to my makeup.

The only problem which I know a lot of people get is that you have to use your finger in the pot and I hate that! I prefer the sticks of lip balm but I do seriously love this lip balm however it was limited edition at one point so I'm not sure if its still available in Boots but I found it on Amazon so it is still available for £2.10.

Recent Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

I have another 'recent thoughts' post for you. This week was long and fairly stressful I had a deadline day where everything was due in for Fridays deadline which meant I was ready for the weekend. I attempted to start my Christmas shopping on Saturday and ended up getting two presents which weren't even that exciting as I soon realised once I got into the shopping mall I didn't know what anyone wanted so I couldn't really get anything. I wanted to start Christmas shopping early so I could be prepared and tart wrapping them too, that way I could even out the amount of money I am spending on them rather than spending all of that money into weeks because that's what I usually do! Then Saturday night I went to friends party which was so nice as I met loads of new people and before we went I was pretty nervous because I had been given the wrong impression of all the new people, but I soon realised they were actually lovely. It just proves that you should always push yourself into new environments with new people because the majority of the time you will enjoy yourself and end up looking back on it really happy with yourself that you went. Today I didn't have any work so I have just been writing loads of blogposts (I'm on my fifth) I have also sent out my birthday wish list to people which is exciting! I love making lists; I'm one of those people that makes list of list of lists of things I need to do, buy, find, get rid of and many more! The Christmas music has also began; I don't know why I have excepted Christmas this early as I usually don't think about Christmas until after my birthday (which is in December) but this year I am! I think its because we are spending Christmas somewhere different and I am excited for it!

Anyway I enjoyed this blogpost today, I like thinking back about what I have done over the week and I am going to make sure I do this more often!

Cloud Nine Hair Straighteners Review

Hi Everyone,

So I have recently posted my October Favourites and in it I said how I would post a separate hair straightener review for you so that is what I am doing to do today for you!

i have the Cloud nine hair straighteners; when I asked for these for Christmas I wasn't sure whether to go for GHD's or Cloud Nines. The difference between the two is that you can alter the temperature on the Cloud nines and you can't on the GHD. This isn't why I went with the Cloud nines I had just heard really good things about them and though it might make a change from the classic GHD's.

I love these hair straighteners so much and I do not regret my decision at all as I think they are brilliant. My hair looks so sleek and straight and they are effortless to use; it takes me about ten minutes in the morning to straighten my hair and I have a lot of thick hair so that shows how powerful they are. The maximum temperature for these is 'high' but it goes '200' and then 'high' so they get really hot.

These are quite pricey but I do think they are worth it!

Day in the Life

Hi Everyone,

Today was a normal day and I was just getting things done so I thought it might be interesting for you to see what I get up to!

The first thing I do in the morning is get breakfast as I'm always hungry! There wasn't much so I went with Special K. I usually watch the most recent Sacconejolys vlog when I'm having breakfast.

After having breakfast I make my bed, my room always looks so much cleaner and organised when I've done this.

Then I go ahead, cleanse my face and clean my teeth which makes me feel so much more awake!

This picture would not rotate but it is to show you that I did my makeup, no this isn't all the makeup I used I put half of it away and left half of it out!

I chose my outfit and walked into town because I was getting my eyebrows threaded at midday so I went to do that and had a lovely walk on my own!
Outfit:
Shoes - New Look
Jeans - River Island
Jumper - Primark
Coat - Forever 21

After getting my eyebrows done I didn't look around the shops I came home and had some lunch, a marmite and cheese sandwich with crisps.

After lunch I needed to do my work as I had been putting it off all week, every time! That took me about an hour.

Then I had a play around with makeup, I don't always do this but there are days that I feel really creative with trying new makeup. (Sneak peek into my makeup collection)

Time to write a blogpost! I do this daily as I upload every day.

I always watch Gossip Girl in the background whilst I blog and thats exactly what I am doing now! Season 3 episode 21.

After getting my work and blogposts done I went to a Family Friends 1st birthday party for two hours which was really good fun!

Then I came home and had dinner Salmon, mash and salad which was yummy.

I usually sit downstairs and watch t.v usually Nashville, that is what my Mum and Me are watching at the moment and it is much better than it sounds.

I will then go and take my makeup off, put my pyjamas on and watch some Youtube before going to bed.

I hope you enjoyed this

My Favourite... Deodorant

Hi Everyone,

So today in the weekly series is my favourite deodorant. I have tried so many; Sure, Vaseline, Dove, or any other and none have lived up to Mitchum. I first saw Mitchum in Super drug and it was half price (it usually is so have a look out for it) so I picked one up and loved it. It blocks the odour scent and instead releases oxygen, it has made such a difference to me and i am now addicted! I wouldn't be able to go back to another deodorant now as I honestly think this one is by far the best!

Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

Today I am just going to chat; I'm really in the mood to just tell you what I've been thinking.

I'm sitting here writing blogposts whilst watching Gossip Girl; my aim is to write four today and I'm on my third!

I have had such a busy week due to a project I had to get finished before half term and have it all done and ready meaning I am now reading for a week off to relax. However I have no plans for half term so I think I need to start making some so I don't end up being at home all day every day! I am in one of those moods where I want to go out and see people and have a really fun night but that's not going to happen as I'm off to Cornwall at the weekend which I am looking forward to as I think it will take my mind off of the crazy hectic week I've had.

Next Thursday I am meeting with Friends, and Friday I am going to one of my Family Friends, Sons 1st birthday party then next Saturday and Sunday I am busy so I really looking forward to all of that its just next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that I need to make plans for.

I also have a list of things I need to get done like swapping summer clothes for winter, getting rid of things, buying birthday presents; those kinds of things so I will use a day for that but I just really want to have a fun week where I can relax and not worry about work I have to get done!

This was different for me to post but I enjoyed being able to tell you what I was thinking and just let some stuff out!

Let me know how your week has been so far!

Stylist Magazine Event

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well, I have broken up for half term today as tomorrow I have an inset day so I am catching up on blogposts as I am going away this weekend and will not be able to write blogposts.

Last Sunday I went to the Stylist Magazine Event in London, my Mum and me got the train up and spent the day there it was so good! So I am going to post a few pictures so you can see what it was like.

It was the first year Stylist did this and I think it was a huge success, there were four days that you could go - Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Each day there were different people talking and different stalls to look at. On Sunday Caroline Hirons was doing a talk on skin, I didn't go to it because my Mum and me got carried away with Nars makeovers!

Yes you heard right Nars were giving free five minute makeovers, as were Benefit and Clarins were giving free facials which I should have done before getting the makeover! GHD were offering free hair styling as well Aveda and Rush hair were braiding hair which i was contemplating getting done but didn't in the end. A new nail varnish collection has just come out, Ondine and to promote it they were giving free manicures which I had to wait an hour and a half to get done!

Brands that were at the event -
Oliver Bonas
GHD
Rush Hair
Aveda Hair
Benefit
Nars
Swarovski
Clarins
Ondine

There were other places too but I can't remember their names as they weren't as big on the scale of shops. The hall was filled with pop up shops so you could buy products such as beauty, hair, fashion and home ware.

It was a really good day and I recommend you try and go next year if you can!

My Favourite... Hand Cream

Hi Everyone,

So I have decided each week I am going to try and do this blogpost 'My Favourite...' whether that is a lipstick, hand cream, hair oil anything! Just so you have a few recommendations if your ever stuck on what to get! This is also like a review too so I hope you enjoy this series!

My favourite hand cream has to be the Soap and Glory hand food; I love it! My hands don't really get dry in the summer months but as soon as it gets cold my hands get so dry and quite itchy due to their dryness.

The reason this one is my favourite is because unlike most hand creams your hands stay moisturised even after you have washed them throughout the day so you only have to apply it every two days although I apply mine each night before I go to bed so my hands have a solid nine hours to absorb all the moisture before I wash them. It smells super good too and the best thing is that it doesn't leave your hands sticky as it dries really quickly!

I have the mini sized one which I love because you can just throw it in your bag if you want to and if you feel like changing hand creams this one won't take forever to get rid of because its a mini!

The next hand cream I want to try is the Zoella Wonder hand moisturiser as I have heard good things! Let me know if you've tried this.

I hope you enjoyed the first post of my new series, there will be a new one of these up next Monday!

Outfit of the Day

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would give you a shorter post, an outfit of the day - OOTD

I am wearing a navy blue and white cropped jumper from Topshop, with my Topshop Joni jeans and my grey converse. This is one of my favourite outfits as I think its really comfy and works well together. I know this was a shorter post but I still hoped you enjoyed it!

Halloween Outfit Idea - Emo Minnie Mouse

Hi Everyone,

Today I have another outfit inspiration for anyone who is still stuck with ideas for what to dress up as this halloween! All of the items for this look are from New Look but I will link them too.

Emo Minnie Mouse -

Mela Black Lace Belted Dress

£28.00

Black Metallic Lace Bow Alice Band £3.99

Wide Fit Dark Red Cross Strap Block Heels

£27.99

Pure Colour Plum Lipstick

I know this outfit idea was quite different but thats why I decided to do it. Obviously if you don't feel comfortable wearing high heels then just go with some black ankle boots or some black slip on shoes (which you can find on New Look) but I thought the colour of the high heels went really well with the dress. Also you could try and go for a bold red lipstick if you don't want to wear plum as I think that would look really nice too!

Hope you enjoyed this!

Pamper Night

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to show you what I get up to on my pamper night. Today was a pretty rainy, windy and cold Autumnal day so when I got home I thought I would have a lovely warm bath; today I needed to wash my hair so unfortunately I couldn't use any lush products or add in any bubble bath. But if you want me to do another version of this then let me know!

Firstly I took off all my makeup using the L'oreal absolute make up remover eye and lip.

Then to make sure every last bit of makeup was gone I used my L'occataine Lavander Cleansing Gel which makes your face feel so soft but I think it has been discontinued now. After I have done these first two steps I feel so much more like a human to have all of the dirt and makeup off my face.

Then I will make sure everything is in the bathroom and ready so today I wanted to start reading Zoella's Girl on line book because I haven't read it yet. And I also grabbed some water because i hate it when I get into the bath and become really thirsty from all the heat and the steam from the bath so I took some water with me.

You can't have a pamper night without candles so obviously I lit them! The big one on the left is Lemongrass scented which smells just like the Spa's in Bali (Nostalgia right there) and the one on the right has orange, geranium, ylang ylang and lavender so two very relaxing scents.

Then I get everything else I need for the bath, my shampoo and conditioner.
Vosene - Anti Dandruff Shampoo (Been using it for about two weeks and it has not made much improvement to my dandruff but it is meant to be really good so I going to carry on using it for a few more weeks. It does make my hair really soft and shiny though which is great!)

Tresseme Split Remedy - I soon realised that no conditioner, shampoo or hair mask can "get rid of split ends" but I still really like this conditioner as my hair feels so soft, smells really good and feels really good! I only put conditioner from my collar bone down as if I put it on the top of my head it irritates my dandruff and makes it worse however I do it now and again it does make my hair look extremely shiny which I love! But thats about once every 4 months that I put it all over my hair.

I also comb through my hair when my conditioner is on as it majorly gets out the knots you wouldn't think it but honestly if you haven't tried it please do as it will banish the knotty wet hair you usually get out the shower with. (If you do; I used to)

Then I brush through my extremely thick and long hair, it gets knotty as i don't brush it very often because I don't like how it looks when its brushed.

Face Mask - Recently my skin has been really bad, I have broken out a lot and the spots don't seem to be going so I used a Botanics Ionics clay face mask today I only do them about once every two months but this one hardens on your skin when it is ready and makes your face feel really soft. It hasn't got rid of my spots or made them smaller but it does make my skin feel clean and refreshed.

Once I have finished my bath I put my pyjamas on (from Primark) and moisturise using FlowerbyKenzo Body Milk.

Now onto hair - I firstly rub Garnier Ultimate Blends through the bottom of my hair (it has coconut oil in it which makes my hair smell amazing and feel super soft, I would definitely recommend and re-purchase this!) This helps me to comb my hair through as it seems to tease out the last few knots; so then I comb through my hair and today I decided to do a fishtail (tip - fishtails are much easier to do when your hair is wet) and I get all the water out of my ears using a cotton bud.

So this is my finished fishtail - if you are trying to learn how to do it then I would recommend not looking in the mirror as you do it as that makes it a lot harder and will confuse you looking in the mirror.
I don't always do this, but as the weather is getting colder I decided to put cream on my feet and put slipper socks on because this is meant to make your feet softer.

I don't moisturise at night, I just put on some acne cream and moisturise in the morning. But this is my moisturiser from Benefit.

That is mostly it, for the rest of the night I will have dinner watch tv with Mum and relax. By the way I did you shower gel in the bath but I forgot to mention that! I hope you enjoyed this blogpost, let me know in the comments if there are any other blogposts you want to see!
