Why I started blogging...

Hi Everyone,

So I thought I would write a post on why I started blogging.

I decided to start a blog one day because I wanted somewhere I could write whatever I wanted whether that was about makeup, hair, my thoughts or anything else and I wouldn't have to worry about what people would think because if they liked it they would read it and if they didn't like it then they wouldn't read it! I was never very good at constantly uploading blogposts every day, every week or every month so most of the time I just didn't upload because I wasn't in the mood for writing which is why I decided to start posting everyday.

I thought posting everyday would help motivate me to make my blog better and to give it more content so that's what I did from the 30th September (7 weeks ago) I am pretty proud I have been posting for 7 weeks now and I am also happy that my blog now has way more content for people to read about lots of different subjects and I can post whatever. I am really enjoying being able to post Autumnal themed blogposts and I will be doing the same in December and Summer.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post!

Favourite place in England

Hi Everyone,

There are so many amazing places in England that are really pretty and relaxing; however my favourite place in England other than where I live which is a super lovely place by the way is London. The shops are amazing and it has such a good vibe because its so busy! Most people would think I would like somewhere like Cornwall or Devon etc but I love London as you just know your going to have a good day as there is always something different to do or plenty of places to shop!

This was a much shorter post but its something different.

Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

Today I am just going to chat; I'm really in the mood to just tell you what I've been thinking.

I'm sitting here writing blogposts whilst watching Gossip Girl; my aim is to write four today and I'm on my third!

I have had such a busy week due to a project I had to get finished before half term and have it all done and ready meaning I am now reading for a week off to relax. However I have no plans for half term so I think I need to start making some so I don't end up being at home all day every day! I am in one of those moods where I want to go out and see people and have a really fun night but that's not going to happen as I'm off to Cornwall at the weekend which I am looking forward to as I think it will take my mind off of the crazy hectic week I've had.

Next Thursday I am meeting with Friends, and Friday I am going to one of my Family Friends, Sons 1st birthday party then next Saturday and Sunday I am busy so I really looking forward to all of that its just next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that I need to make plans for.

I also have a list of things I need to get done like swapping summer clothes for winter, getting rid of things, buying birthday presents; those kinds of things so I will use a day for that but I just really want to have a fun week where I can relax and not worry about work I have to get done!

This was different for me to post but I enjoyed being able to tell you what I was thinking and just let some stuff out!

Let me know how your week has been so far!

My Favourite... Hand Cream

Hi Everyone,

So I have decided each week I am going to try and do this blogpost 'My Favourite...' whether that is a lipstick, hand cream, hair oil anything! Just so you have a few recommendations if your ever stuck on what to get! This is also like a review too so I hope you enjoy this series!

My favourite hand cream has to be the Soap and Glory hand food; I love it! My hands don't really get dry in the summer months but as soon as it gets cold my hands get so dry and quite itchy due to their dryness.

The reason this one is my favourite is because unlike most hand creams your hands stay moisturised even after you have washed them throughout the day so you only have to apply it every two days although I apply mine each night before I go to bed so my hands have a solid nine hours to absorb all the moisture before I wash them. It smells super good too and the best thing is that it doesn't leave your hands sticky as it dries really quickly!

I have the mini sized one which I love because you can just throw it in your bag if you want to and if you feel like changing hand creams this one won't take forever to get rid of because its a mini!

The next hand cream I want to try is the Zoella Wonder hand moisturiser as I have heard good things! Let me know if you've tried this.

I hope you enjoyed the first post of my new series, there will be a new one of these up next Monday!

Outfit of the Day

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would give you a shorter post, an outfit of the day - OOTD

I am wearing a navy blue and white cropped jumper from Topshop, with my Topshop Joni jeans and my grey converse. This is one of my favourite outfits as I think its really comfy and works well together. I know this was a shorter post but I still hoped you enjoyed it!

Halloween Outfit Idea - Emo Minnie Mouse

Hi Everyone,

Today I have another outfit inspiration for anyone who is still stuck with ideas for what to dress up as this halloween! All of the items for this look are from New Look but I will link them too.

Emo Minnie Mouse -

Mela Black Lace Belted Dress

£28.00

Black Metallic Lace Bow Alice Band £3.99

Wide Fit Dark Red Cross Strap Block Heels

£27.99

Pure Colour Plum Lipstick

I know this outfit idea was quite different but thats why I decided to do it. Obviously if you don't feel comfortable wearing high heels then just go with some black ankle boots or some black slip on shoes (which you can find on New Look) but I thought the colour of the high heels went really well with the dress. Also you could try and go for a bold red lipstick if you don't want to wear plum as I think that would look really nice too!

Hope you enjoyed this!

Pamper Night

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to show you what I get up to on my pamper night. Today was a pretty rainy, windy and cold Autumnal day so when I got home I thought I would have a lovely warm bath; today I needed to wash my hair so unfortunately I couldn't use any lush products or add in any bubble bath. But if you want me to do another version of this then let me know!

Firstly I took off all my makeup using the L'oreal absolute make up remover eye and lip.

Then to make sure every last bit of makeup was gone I used my L'occataine Lavander Cleansing Gel which makes your face feel so soft but I think it has been discontinued now. After I have done these first two steps I feel so much more like a human to have all of the dirt and makeup off my face.

Then I will make sure everything is in the bathroom and ready so today I wanted to start reading Zoella's Girl on line book because I haven't read it yet. And I also grabbed some water because i hate it when I get into the bath and become really thirsty from all the heat and the steam from the bath so I took some water with me.

You can't have a pamper night without candles so obviously I lit them! The big one on the left is Lemongrass scented which smells just like the Spa's in Bali (Nostalgia right there) and the one on the right has orange, geranium, ylang ylang and lavender so two very relaxing scents.

Then I get everything else I need for the bath, my shampoo and conditioner.
Vosene - Anti Dandruff Shampoo (Been using it for about two weeks and it has not made much improvement to my dandruff but it is meant to be really good so I going to carry on using it for a few more weeks. It does make my hair really soft and shiny though which is great!)

Tresseme Split Remedy - I soon realised that no conditioner, shampoo or hair mask can "get rid of split ends" but I still really like this conditioner as my hair feels so soft, smells really good and feels really good! I only put conditioner from my collar bone down as if I put it on the top of my head it irritates my dandruff and makes it worse however I do it now and again it does make my hair look extremely shiny which I love! But thats about once every 4 months that I put it all over my hair.

I also comb through my hair when my conditioner is on as it majorly gets out the knots you wouldn't think it but honestly if you haven't tried it please do as it will banish the knotty wet hair you usually get out the shower with. (If you do; I used to)

Then I brush through my extremely thick and long hair, it gets knotty as i don't brush it very often because I don't like how it looks when its brushed.

Face Mask - Recently my skin has been really bad, I have broken out a lot and the spots don't seem to be going so I used a Botanics Ionics clay face mask today I only do them about once every two months but this one hardens on your skin when it is ready and makes your face feel really soft. It hasn't got rid of my spots or made them smaller but it does make my skin feel clean and refreshed.

Once I have finished my bath I put my pyjamas on (from Primark) and moisturise using FlowerbyKenzo Body Milk.

Now onto hair - I firstly rub Garnier Ultimate Blends through the bottom of my hair (it has coconut oil in it which makes my hair smell amazing and feel super soft, I would definitely recommend and re-purchase this!) This helps me to comb my hair through as it seems to tease out the last few knots; so then I comb through my hair and today I decided to do a fishtail (tip - fishtails are much easier to do when your hair is wet) and I get all the water out of my ears using a cotton bud.

So this is my finished fishtail - if you are trying to learn how to do it then I would recommend not looking in the mirror as you do it as that makes it a lot harder and will confuse you looking in the mirror.
I don't always do this, but as the weather is getting colder I decided to put cream on my feet and put slipper socks on because this is meant to make your feet softer.

I don't moisturise at night, I just put on some acne cream and moisturise in the morning. But this is my moisturiser from Benefit.

That is mostly it, for the rest of the night I will have dinner watch tv with Mum and relax. By the way I did you shower gel in the bath but I forgot to mention that! I hope you enjoyed this blogpost, let me know in the comments if there are any other blogposts you want to see!

Favourite Youtubers

Hi everyone,

You tube is something I enjoy watching when I get home from school and on a Sunday with a cup of tea, so today I thought I would give you a list of some of my favourite you tubers; big and small.

Big Youtubers -

Zoella and MoreZoella - This probably isn't a surprise to many of you as she does have 9 million subscribers so a lot of people are a fan of hers! But theres something about her main channel videos and vlogs that means I can watch them even if they were an hour and a half long! She's just so lovely and positive! Zoe was the first youtube I watched and I instantly loved her!

Alfie Deyes - I much prefer Alfies vlogs to main channel videos but I like to watch them everyday if I can; especially now that he lives with Zoe and Nala I love to see what their all up to as a family and Alfie is just so bubbly and loud, everyday he gets up to something meaning his vlogs are fun to watch.

Sacconejolys - The sacconejolys are so addictive I love watching them everyday, I'm one of those people who always likes something on in the background when I'm on my own whilst I'm tidying my room, or blogging. I like to watch their vlogs the night they put the video up or a lot of the time I will watch the vlog the next morning whilst I'm doing my makeup. I just love seeing Emilia and Eduardo growing, they are at such a fun age and Jonathan does an amazing job of vlogging everyday no matter what is going on in his and Anna's personal life he still continues to vlog, edit and upload which I admire.

The Michalaks - Theres seems to be a pattern of vloggers I think its because they are much easier to watch and have on in the background rather than having to concentrate on main channel videos. Every Sunday the Michalaks are usually the first to upload so I always look forward to that as Steph's editing skills are flawless and Grayson is probably the cutest child ever, so happy and smiley. I think they deserve so much appreciation as they go out of their way to get stunning montages and Steph will usually take a whole Sunday to edit.

Velvetgh0st - I have always enjoyed Gabby's vlogs compared to her main channel as there is something I love about them, even when she does nothing I still enjoy her vlogs, she makes me laugh and is just crazy in the way she thinks and does things! I do still enjoy her main channel video just not as much.

Small Youtubers -

Sarah Close1 - Sarah is a singer, might I add a fabulous singer who most of the time I prefer her covers to the original, she isn't small as she has roughly the same amount of subscribers as The Michalaks but I feel like she isn't as known in the Youtube community as much. She seems super lovely and always says how she likes having a "smaller" youtube community than people with one million because she can recognise her subscribers which I think is lovely.

Eve Bennett - I am so proud of Eve as I think she has done so well with growing her channel so much in such a small amount of time. Recently I have noticed that Eve's lighting, editing and filming skills have improved so much and I am a big fan of her videos. She is another youtuber who is super down to earth and I like how her videos are chatty I am also amazed that she is putting up videos to such good quality at a young age whilst juggling school and work especially now that she is in Yr 11 which is a very busy time!

Kerry Dyer - I am obsessed with Kerry Dyer's videos at the moment, she has around 4,000 subscribers I think, I am enjoying her videos because she has just moved house, she is five moths pregnant and has a three year old daughter so at the moment her videos are always fun and have a lot going on!

Theodora Lee - Theo has grown so much! She didn't start her channel very long ago but already is very popular and is again very down to Earth and real with all her subscribers.

Ok so I think that is everyone! Most of you have probably heard of a lot of these people but if there are any you haven't heard of then go and check them out! I have linked the channels which I prefer the most, either vlog or main channel :)

Benefit Professional Primer Review

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all ok, I am writing a review on the Benefit Porefessional primer today. I have only ever used this and one other primer so I can't say I've tried many primers but I love this primer so much it is for sure my favourite! When I put it on my face feels so soft! Obviously that isn't the only reason i have it but I just love the product and I love that the tiniest amount will cover your whole face meaning the product will last a long time. I had a mini professional and it lasted me around three to four months which I think is a long time for a mini! I know Porefessional is expensive but I personally think it is worth it; you could try and see if you can get a sample from Benefit and try it out but I think if you have the money you should go for it! For any of you wondering I have combination to oily skin with acne.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what you think of Porefessional

My Favourite Shop

Hi everyone,

So today I'm having a chat about my favourite shop; I love Forever 21 but I rarely go there as there isn't one near me instead I shop in New Look, Topshop and H&M. Anyway as much as I love those shops, Forever 21 comes to the top of the list because of its great value and wide selection of fashion. What I like is that whatever is in Fashion Forever 21 will have it in stock at a good price so that I can actually afford it; I can't go in and not come out with something!

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Lipstick Review

Hi everyone,

Today I am writing a blogpost on the Maybelline lipstick I have, its not new out but I thought some of you might find it interesting.

I bought this about two years ago and I haven't used it much because I have a lot of nude lipsticks but I think the staying power for this lipstick is very good as when I put it on it will stay on for about five hours which is good for a drugstore brand. I like the pigment in colour as it is quite a obvious pink (meaning you couldn't get away with it at school).

However the one thing I do not enjoy about this lipstick is that it is very drying on the lips if you wear it continuously, whether that is re-applying it throughout the day or just applying it once a day for a week you will probably notice your lips getting dryer. It feels nice on the lips as you apply it and it smells very florally too. Its only after it has rubbed off that you realise the dryness. I wouldn't say this lipstick is "extremely sticky" but it is slightly sticky. I will insert a swatch of it down below for you. The colour i have is "On and on pink" So overall not one of my favourites due to dryness and slight stickiness.

Let me know if this helped you, or if you have this what do you think of it?

Available in Boots for £6.99

Mac Lipstick

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all ok! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I haven't had a chance to blog so I am catching up now!

Yesterday I went into an outlet shop, with a load of high end makeup reduced. So as there was such a great deal I decided to buy my first ever Mac lipstick. This was my first high end purchase which was really exciting! I already have a few benefit products but they were all presents.

As this was an outlet shop there wasn't as much variety in colour but I knew the first thing I wanted to buy from Mac was a lipstick. So out of the limited variety I decided to go with a plum colour as that's my favourite shade during Autumn and Winter.

The lipstick was £15 reduced to £10.50! Which I think is an amazing deal! I love the lipstick! It is so pigmented and lasts around 6 hours! I love it and will definitely be saving up for more as it is a lot of money but worth it! The matte lipstick is in the shade "Absolute Power" and once on the lips is a cranberry colour.

Comment your favourite Mac lipstick down below!

Garnier Micellar Water Review

Hello,

As it is a sunny Friday afternoon I thought I would blog as I haven't for ages, sorry about that I have been so busy!
Today I wanted to talk about a new product that I have been loving; the Garnier Micellar Water! I previously owned the L'Oreal purifying micellar solution but I was not a fan because it left my skin feeling greasy and oily and that did not help me as I have oily skin; so when the Garnier version came out I tried it and fell in love! It leaves my skin feeling much less greasy, still a little greasy but I just wash my face afterwards.

Garnier Micellar Water claims it:

-Is for sensitive skin
-Removes Makeup
-Cleanses and soothes skin
-For face, lips, eyes

I personally think it does everything it says it should. My skin is fairly sensitive and it does not react, it definitely removes makeup well, and it works on lips, face and eyes without irritation which I love because it is just like water as when it goes in your eyes it doesn't sting but it still gets makeup off really well! After using this with a cotton wool pad I splash my face with cold water to make sure my face is clean and pat my face dry with a towel. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water can be bought in Superdrug, Tesco, Boots and any other beauty shops for £4.99.

Real Techniques Review

Hi!
Today is my first blog post about a product. I'm going to tell you about my favourite makeup brushes, which are the Real Techniques! I love these so much as they make makeup so easy to apply and help to create a flawless finish, there are so many real techniques brushes that apply to every part of the face, they are slightly pricey but they are cheap compared to some brushes and they are definitely worth the money as the bristles do not fall out, and best of all the brushes do not stain so when you go to clean them they always look brand new!

For my birthday I got the Core Collection, (the picture down below) which contains four brushes (from left to right) - Contour brush, Foundation brush, Detailer brush and the Buffing brush. This is a good starter kit as it gives you all the essentials and this is £21.99 in Boots. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who enjoys makeup; since I have bought a blusher brush too.

This is what I use the brushes for:
Contour Brush - Blusher or Bronzer
Foundation Brush - Concealer
Detailer Brush - Blend in my lipstick
Buffing Brush - Blend in my Concealer and Foundation and then I add powder with this brush too. This is my most used brush!

Real Techniques "Core Collection" pack
